Email Confirmation - The Basics of Account Security

1 min. readlast update: 03.13.2024

Email confirmation is a commonly known security process used in various services. It is an easy way to check if the person who registered is, in fact, the owner of the email they used for signup. The main goal of email confirmation is to protect you from scammers stealing your identity online. At Text, we require email confirmation for all newly signed-up emails.

Confirming your account is easy and fast. Once you have signed up with your email address, you will receive a confirmation email with the 6-digit code. Copy it and then paste on the page. Your identity will be automatically confirmed.

Some important notes:

  1. If you have not registered with any of Text products, please ignore the confirmation email, as it may be an attempt to steal your identity.
  2. The email may take up to a few minutes to reach your inbox.
  3. The confirmation email can land in your spam folder.
  4. The confirmation code is valid for 10 minutes after the signup.
  5. If your code expired you can generate a new one by clicking 'Send it again' link button.
