If your team uses Microsoft, you might consider requiring your team to log in to Text products with their Microsoft accounts. It’s an easy way to simplify and secure the login process. It also means your team doesn’t have to remember another password. It’s a win-win situation.
Setting up Microsoft as a required login method
Note: Only the organization Owner can set it up.
-
In the Text Accounts panel, go to Settings -> Security.
-
Select Microsoft in the Require login with section.
-
If you’ve never logged in to Text products with Microsoft before, you’ll have to connect your Microsoft account. You will be redirected to the Microsoft login page.
-
Save changes to complete the setup.
Logging in with Microsoft as an agent
Once Microsoft login is set up, your agents will receive an email notification about this change.
They won’t be able to log in using their Text password anymore. They’ll have to choose the Log in with Microsoft option on the login page.
Changing the login method won’t affect any active sessions. Logged-in users will not be logged out.
Things to remember:
Make sure everyone has a Microsoft account. Once you make the Microsoft login mandatory, everyone must have a Microsoft account to log in to Text products. Without a Microsoft account, they will lose access to their products.
This becomes the only login method for your team. Requiring a Microsoft login means you and your team won’t be able to use other methods, such as logging in with Google, logging in with custom SSO, or joining with allowed domains.
